De planning moet nood- en reddingsprocedures omvatten.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3. Beoordeling en selectie van arbeidsmiddelen\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Werkgevers moeten risicobeoordelingen overwegen en de meest geschikte arbeidsmiddelen kiezen om veilige werkomstandigheden te handhaven. Collectieve beschermingsmaatregelen krijgen voorrang op persoonlijke beschermingsmaatregelen.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4. Risico's minimaliseren\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Er moeten passende maatregelen worden genomen om de risico's die inherent zijn aan de gekozen arbeidsmiddelen tot een minimum te beperken. Dit omvat de installatie van beveiligingen om vallen te voorkomen of te stoppen.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5. Weersomstandigheden\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Werkgevers moeten ervoor zorgen dat werkzaamheden op hoogte alleen worden uitgevoerd wanneer de weersomstandigheden de gezondheid of veiligheid van de werknemers niet in gevaar brengen.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Specifieke vereisten voor werken op hoogte\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1. Ladders\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ladders mogen alleen gebruikt worden als het niet haalbaar is om veiligere arbeidsmiddelen te gebruiken. Specifieke vereisten voor ladders zijn onder andere het waarborgen van hun stabiliteit, het vastzetten van de voeten van draagbare ladders en het voorkomen van beweging van mobiele ladders tijdens gebruik.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. Steiger<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Steigers moeten voldoen aan specifieke eisen met betrekking tot sterkte, stabiliteit en veiligheid. Toegang via touwen en positioneringstechnieken\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bij toegangstechnieken met lijnen moet een systeem met ten minste twee afzonderlijk verankerde touwen worden gebruikt, tenzij uit een risicobeoordeling blijkt dat een tweede lijn een hoger risico inhoudt. Werknemers moeten geschikte harnassen en de juiste opleiding krijgen.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Taken van andere personen\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Iedereen die controle heeft over aspecten van werk op hoogte moet ervoor zorgen dat de voorschriften worden nageleefd, zelfs als hij niet de werkgever is. Werknemers moeten de verstrekte arbeidsmiddelen ook op de juiste manier gebruiken en de veiligheidsinstructies opvolgen.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Overtredingen, straffen, inspecties en aanhoudingen\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1. Overtredingen en straffen<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Niet-naleving van de voorschriften kan leiden tot boetes of gevangenisstraf. Er zijn specifieke boetes voor verschillende soorten overtredingen.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. Aanhouding van schepen\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Schepen kunnen worden aangehouden als ze niet aan de voorschriften voldoen. Er zijn voorzieningen getroffen om aangehouden schepen onder bepaalde voorwaarden vrij te laten.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3. Dit omvat rapportage aan de relevante autoriteiten en, indien nodig, aanhouding van het schip.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusie\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De Britse wetgeving voor werken op hoogte is veelomvattend en is erop gericht te garanderen dat werken op hoogte veilig en verantwoord wordt uitgevoerd. Werkgevers hebben belangrijke verantwoordelijkheden om risico's te beoordelen, de juiste uitrusting te kiezen en de competentie en veiligheid van hun werknemers te garanderen. De regelgeving voorziet ook in handhavingsmechanismen en sancties om naleving te garanderen.
